Progressive International HGT-11 Folding Mandoline Slicer Reviews
This is a basic mandoline slicer, not the best out there, but it doesn't take up much counter space. I would like to say that the description of this product says it is designed to fit securely over a bowl and it most certainly doesn't fit over any of mine. I've only just recieved this slicer a week ago, but I can already tell you that I've only got about six months of use left. Its not bad for the price, but if you want something that you wont have to replace after six months of medium use I would consider another product. br /br /Summary, 4 stars for the price and ease of storage.

Love it, great price, great buy - Scarlet I Guevarra -
I love this mandolin slicer. It's easy to use and super easy to clean. I love that it comes in its own container and that the actual slicer folds up to save room. Please heed everyone's warning when they say this slicer is ridiculously sharp. It was a little scary to use at first, and the special saftey holder thingy is awkward to use. I usually just wait until I have only a couple slices left on a veggie, then just carefully slice slowly until you can slice no more. But seriously folks...BE CAREFUL...super super sharp.
Not excellent, but pretty great - Carlo -
The mandoline has worked fine. It has a very neat, clean and slick look. The fact that it has a stand is great. My wife has used it several times already, mainly for potatoes. She hasn't tried all the slice plates yet, but the ones she has used, have worked pretty much great. There are some times when you're sliding back up the mandoline that food kinda gets stuck a bit, but it's not that much. Also, the thin slices aren't as thin as we expected, but it's nothing too big of a problem. We are pleased though.
